Mini-ISM is a simplified Safety Management System for yachts that do not have to comply with the full ISM.

Who needs Mini-ISM?
Mini-ISM is mandatory for Yachts of 24 metres load line length & over, and under 500 GT, chartering with up to 12 passengers registered in countries that have adopted the Large Commercial Yacht Code (Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Isle of Man, Italy, Marshall Islands, UK, etc.).
Mini-ISM may be implemented voluntarily on any other yacht (private or registered under any other flag) if the yacht does not fall under the requirement to implement a full ISM.

Our Mini-ISM-System consists of the following modules:

A Safety Management Handbook is being customtailored for each yacht. This handbook contains all mandatory Safety Procedures as required by the Large Commercial Yacht Code. It also contains check lists and contingency plans for emergencies. If a new customer yacht has already some procedures and checklists in place, these will be checked against the requirements of the ISM-Code and will be used in the handbook. We are proud to include all wishes of our customers into their new handbook, as long as they go with the ISM – Code. For completely new yachts without any procedures or checklists in place, we are providing a full new set.

A 24/7 emergency hotline and a Designated Person Ashore (DPA) are not mandatory for an Mini-ISM – however, it is recommended and we offer these services to our customers, if wished

YMG SecSafe Ltd. is operating paper reduced. Therefore it provides the customer with an exclusive internet accessible software. All mandatory document exchanges between the yacht and the shore office of YMG SecSafe Ltd. are administered via this software

An auditor of YMG SecSafe Ltd. will execute internal audits on board of the yacht in intervals as required by the Large Commercial Yacht Code
